Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the Sonanta application. By downloading or using it, you accept what's described here. Read them carefully; they're written to be clear.

01Acceptance

By installing or using Sonanta, you confirm that you have read and accept these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you disagree, do not use the app.

02What Sonanta is

Sonanta is a personal finance app for iPhone that lets you log expenses by voice, by photographing a receipt, from an Apple Pay payment, or manually, and review them in a history and a summary. You can also tag a period as an Experience —a trip, a wedding, a move— so expenses on those dates mark themselves and you know at the end what it cost. Processing happens on your device. Some features —subscriptions, budgets, voice questions, and the report— are part of Sonanta Pro and require a subscription.

03License

We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Sonanta on devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and to Apple's App Store rules. You acquire no ownership of the app.

04Not financial advice

Sonanta helps you see and organize your expenses, and informs you (for example, how much you have spent or how much of a budget is left). Any summary, budget, report, calculation, or answer it provides is informational and does not constitute financial, accounting, tax, legal, or investment advice. It does not replace a professional's judgment. Decisions about your money are your responsibility.

05Your responsibility for the data

Sonanta interprets your voice and your receipts with on-device technology that can get things wrong: the app proposes and you decide. You are responsible for reviewing and confirming that the information recorded is correct. Likewise, you are responsible for keeping backups (for example, by leaving iCloud backup enabled); we do not guarantee recovery of data lost to device failure, deletion, or uninstallation.

06Apple Pay and Shortcuts

Apple Pay detection is optional and relies on an automation you create in Apple's Shortcuts app. Sonanta does not connect to your bank accounts and cannot verify whether that automation exists or still works: if Shortcuts does not run it, the payment will not reach the app. Detected payments wait in an inbox and are a suggestion you review; neither their arrival nor their accuracy is guaranteed, and they do not replace your bank statement.

Once you have confirmed the same merchant several times, the app stops asking and saves the expense directly, telling you so with an undo option. Reviewing what was recorded remains your responsibility: the app proposes, you decide.

07Alerts and notifications

Alerts for upcoming charges, budgets, Experiences that just ended, and the monthly report —including the one you ask to arrive on a fixed day— are scheduled on your device and depend on the operating system and the permissions you grant. They are a help, not a guarantee of timely delivery: you should not rely on them alone to make a payment or meet a deadline.

08Sonanta Pro and subscriptions

Sonanta Pro is purchased by subscription through Apple's App Store, on a monthly or yearly plan. Where a free trial is offered, billing begins when the trial ends unless you cancel first. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the period, from your Apple account settings. Billing, renewal, invoicing, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.

If your subscription ends, your data remains yours and the app keeps working in its free version —logging, history, summary, and CSV export. Pro features stop operating, including the automatic generation of charges for your subscriptions and their alerts.

09Acceptable use

You agree not to use Sonanta for unlawful purposes, nor to attempt to decompile, breach, alter, or interfere with the app's operation or with other users' security.

10Intellectual property

Sonanta, its name, logo, design, texts, and software are owned by Jesús Eduardo Hernández Martínez and protected by applicable law. Your expense data is and remains yours.

11No warranties

Sonanta is provided "as is" and "as available." To the extent permitted by law, we make no warranty that the app will be free of errors or interruptions, nor that voice interpretation, receipt reading, or calculations will always be accurate.

12Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for loss of data or profits arising from the use or inability to use the app. Nothing in these Terms limits liabilities that cannot be excluded by law.

13Changes and availability

We may update the app and these Terms. The current version will always be at this address and inside the app, with its date. We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue features; if a change is relevant, we will try to let you know inside the app.

14End User License Agreement (Apple)

Use of this app is also subject to Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA), except as provided herein.

15Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Mexican States. For any dispute, the parties submit to the competent courts of Xalapa, Veracruz, unless the law provides otherwise.
