Privacy

There is no server.

Not for storing your expenses, not for hearing your voice, not for reading your receipts. Everything Sonanta does happens inside your iPhone. The only thing that leaves is the backup to your own iCloud, and only if you leave it on.

Where your data goes

In through your voice. Staying on your phone.

This is the whole path of an expense. No part of the drawing is missing because it happens “in the cloud”.

  • Your iCloudThe backup, encrypted and in your own Apple account, if you leave it on. It's what lets your history survive a new phone.
  • Sonanta serversThey don't exist. There's nowhere to keep your data even if we wanted to.
  • Your bankSonanta doesn't connect to it and never asks for its credentials. That's what your bank is for.
  • A Sonanta accountNo sign-up, no email, no password. There's no profile of you anywhere.
The proof

Don't take our word for it. Use airplane mode.

It's the test you can run yourself in three seconds: with no signal and no Wi-Fi, Sonanta logs, sorts, warns and answers exactly the same. If any of it depended on a server, it would stop working right here.

Turn off the network. Log an expense.

It works the same on your iPhone: on the subway, in a shop with no signal, or at thirty thousand feet.

Airplane mode

Turn on airplane mode first, if you want to make it hard.

By design

What we don't do, and not for lack of wanting to.

There's simply nothing to do it with. An app without a server can't sell what it never received.

Your voice doesn't travel

The audio is transcribed on the device and never kept as a file. Not even on your iPhone.

Neither do the photos

The receipt is read on your iPhone. It's never uploaded anywhere “for processing”.

No bank passwords

No aggregators, no bank connections. Even Apple Pay payments arrive through a shortcut on your own iPhone.

No account

No sign-up, no email, no password. You open it and go. There's no profile of you to leak.

The backup is yours

It lives in your iCloud, encrypted. Not in ours: we don't have one.

No ads

We don't sell data and we don't show advertising. Your attention isn't for sale either.

App privacy · App Store listing Data Not Collected

The developer does not collect any data from this app.

That's the label the App Store shows on Sonanta's listing. Check it before you download.

That's why there's no subscription

A subscription pays for servers. Sonanta has none, so it charges once. See pricing

And this page?

It counts visits with Umami: no cookies, no personal data and nobody identified. Only if you arrive from a Facebook or Instagram ad does the Meta pixel also load; here are the details.

The legal detail

Which data is handled, which isn't, and your rights, spelled out. Privacy notice
